The Agile/DevOps Coach plays a key role in shaping T-Mobile's technology strategy and transformation by applying expertise in Agile/DevOps processes, tool standards and governance, training, continuous improvement and continuous delivery. This is a highly visible role with ample opportunities to lead enterprise-scale transformation while providing hands-on coaching and guidance to management, technical and business teams. The Agile/DevOps Coach must be able to apply proven framework to simplify the learning journey and connecting principles to practical application to maximize organizational adoption. Must have a passion for working with and mentoring a variety of teams to create truly sustainable and extendable systems. Must be open to new challenges, be innovative, provide thought leadership, be a servant leader and an effective collaborator to work across business functional and software developments teams to solve problems and implement new process and tool solutions. Work with all levels of the management to drive Agile/DevOps adoption. Leadership views this role as a trusted advisor who utilizes in-depth industry, business, and technical knowledge to guide teams in the delivery of capabilities that are key to the company’s success.
Experience Must have a solid background utilizing an Agile/DevOps framework (e.g. Scrum and Kanban) in software development, Previous Agile/DevOps coaching experience, Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills with ability to quickly process conversations and explain complex technical concepts, Experience in creating and facilitating Agile/DevOps training / workshop material, Experience working with large, small, remote and collocated Agile/DevOps teams, Serve as the SME on Agile/DevOps practices, Foster teamwork and adherence to new agility norms, Gauge performance to identify opportunities for team improvements., Utilize appropriate coaching techniques to accelerate team’s transformation, Engage in one-on-one coaching with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, DevOps Team leadership and utilize different techniques based on skills and ability, Stay on top of emerging best practices to help continuous improvement internally with Agile/DevOps practices, Provide feedback to management regarding the progress of Agile/DevOps transformations within their teams, Utilize team collaboration to help create innovative solution, Engage and lead teams towards Agile/DevOps approaches that align personal/team goals with organizational goals, Technical aptitude to understand development, test automation, and continuous delivery tools (examples: Jenkins, Selenium, Artifactory, Pivotal Cloud Foundry) Qualifications A minimum of 12 year’s industry experience as a program or product manager within a technology environment, and minimum 8 years of Agile/DevOps coaching, with a progressive record of successful delivery of complex solutions, systems or services Prefer at least one certification, such as PMI-ACP, Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) or higher certification Embrace servant leadership and demonstrate the behaviors aligned to key mindset shifts associated with Agile approaches (adaptability, mental flexibility, comfortable with ambiguity)
