Job Title: Engineering Lab Admin/Tech
Location: Santa Clara, U S

Job Description
Duration: 5+ Months contract

Typical job responsibilities will include:
• Cabling and configuring network and console links to network devices.
• Installing, configuring and maintaining ethernet switches, PDU’s and other rack infrastructure in lab.
• Assisting users with building and provisioning virtual machine guests in Windows, Linux, etc.
• Providing end-user support for infrastructure troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution.
• Maintaining licenses (MSDN, VMware, etc) and their distribution.
• Purchasing and maintaining inventory, as well as, asset management records.
• Working with Facilities to address infrastructure issues.

Skills:
• Qualified candidates will possess the majority of these skills.
• Knowledge of common network protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, SSH/SCP/SFTP, NFS, FTP, SNMP, etc.
• Experience with IPv4 networking (IPv6 networking is a plus)
• Experience with network switch configuration
• Experience managing CentOS, Debian, or other Linux distributions.
• Experience managing Windows, MacOS, and VMware
• Active Directory setup and management
• Exposure to Ansible, Saltstack, or similar orchestration tools
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Education:
• BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ Year’s experience working in a technical/troubleshooting/support role.
