Job Description

• Responsible for gathering, analyzing, and creating comprehensive work products documenting requirements, including validation and traceability, for existing and new applications supporting various business channels.
• This position understands how organizations function to accomplish their purpose, and defines capabilities an organization requires to provide a service or meet their goals.
• Facilitates communication between organizational units to align the needs of business units in order to create requirement work products for solution providers.
• Plans, directs and completes the analysis of business problems to be solved or product/services to be developed for delivery.
• Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements.
• Assesses system impacts, provides gap and process analysis as well as cost/benefit analysis for system or product/service related initiatives.
• Acts as liaison between the user community and internal IT resources.
• Plans, facilitates, and participates in working sessions with cross-functional resources.

Required Qualifications: Tableau Reporting Analyst
• The Reporting Analyst in the Finance department wears many hats.

• Part of our job is to design, implement, and maintain reporting that informs the business, tells the story of what is happening, and raises the right questions.
• The individual’s role would be to leverage knowledge of business intelligence, helping internal customers understand the portfolio in a proficient manner.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• This role requires a strong understanding of the Tableau Suite of products ranging from Tableau Desktop to Tableau Server. The candidate must have experience using Tableau and a deep understanding of reporting systems, business intelligence, and data warehousing technologies and methodologies, as well as principles of dashboard design and data visualization.
• Furthermore, good communication with coworkers about data reporting and visualization is key.
• The individual will work directly with business customers and stakeholders to help develop and support BI solutions for both internal and external customers.
• The candidate must have experience designing and producing client-ready reports, dashboards, and other custom programs as needed.
• A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate and combine web development, BI solutions, and Data Warehouse / Data Mart experiences, with good data visualization and meaningful dashboard design, and great communication and documentation skills.
Specific responsibilities include:
• The candidate will be required to do data analysis and Tableau development work.
• Work closely with stake holders to analyze and understand relevant data features and KPIs.
• Gather and document Business Intelligence (BI) requirements.
• Develop complex interactive/dynamic dashboards per BI specifications.
• Develop and implement solutions using organizational data warehouse, data marts, and operational data stores.
• Conduct trouble shooting for reporting anomalies and build safeguards for correct data in reporting.
• Provide day-to-day support and mentoring junior developers/end users who are interacting with the data.
• Track and communicate project status to stakeholders throughout the project life-cycle.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor or Master’s Degree in computer science or related discipline or equivalent combined education and experience.
• 3+ years’ experience in business intelligence and in configuring, designing and building visualizations and dashboards using Tableau.
• Ability to develop good data visualization that answers questions and raises relevant new angles for the business.
• Experience developing self-guided dashboards for multiple team use.
• Excellent hands-on experience with Tableau Dashboard, Tableau Server and understand the data warehouse concepts.
• Facilitate/lead reviews (walkthroughs) of dashboard specifications and program code with other members of the technical team; communicating design, requirements, functionality and limitations of systems/applications to team members.
• Ability to effectively troubleshoot data inaccuracies, identify root causes, and take corrective action.
• Knowledge of information technology concepts, application development methodology, terminology and standards.
• Detail oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills to meet critical deadline.
• Self-motivated, ability to prioritize work and multi-task across many assignments in a fast-paced work environment.
• Wireless industry experience a plus.
