Content Specialist (Web Content) – PlayStation Consumer Services

The Content Specialist for the PlayStation Support Websites manages day-to-day content publishing needs, as well as supports content improvement initiatives, in support of PlayStation's Consumer Services organization that supports consumers in US, Canada, Latin America, and Brazil.

The ideal candidate must comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced environment, taking initiative, managing multiple tasks or projects, as well as working to find creative solutions with teammates to meet deadlines. The candidate must also be able to work collaboratively to drive alignment of content approach and writing across internal and external stakeholders throughout PlayStation and have a "Do what it takes” attitude.

You will be doing
Writing and Editing Content
  • Assist in the development and publishing of content for one or more of the PlayStation Support websites.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to collect, produce, and edit support content, in order to maintain or improve the quality and effectiveness of the content.
  • Use multimedia content to support or work alongside text, in order to increase reader understanding content effectiveness.
  • Layout and organize content to support increased reader understanding and content effectiveness.
  • Edit for grammar, punctuation, tone of voice, writing style, SEO, and WCAG 2.1.
  • Regularly communicate subject matter experts to develop content and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate with the PlayStation translation team when necessary.
Supporting Content Strategies
  • Provide support on consumer content improvement initiatives.
  • Generate innovative ideas for creating effective support content that meets Consumer Services goals.
  • Understand SEO and search behavior to make recommendations for content changes.
Maintain Publishing and Editorial Calendars
  • Maintain publishing requests and publishing calendar to ensure requirements and time-sensitive requests are met.
  • Coordinate with the internal and external reviews when necessary.
  • Coordinate with the PlayStation translation team when necessary.
What you need
Required Knowledge and Skills
  • 1-2 years of experience working with and writing content for websites.
  • The minimum education requirement for this position is a bachelor's degree in English, communications, marketing, psychology, or a similar field.
  • Computer literacy – understanding of Microsoft products, Google products, content management systems.
  • Writing proficiency – writing and editing with speed and accuracy, displaying a strong knowledge of English grammar and the ability to create clear, engaging, and informative text. Be able to write on a wide variety of topics. A demonstrated mastery of verbal and written communication skills is essential
  • Organizational skills – organized and efficient, be able to maintain calendars and juggle deadlines, keeping track of content throughout the editorial process and ensuring that work is submitted on time.
  • Content organizational skills – understand how web content is found, understood and interpreted by the reader.
Bonus Knowledge and Skills
  • Basic SEO knowledge.
  • Basic understanding of HTML.
  • Excellent data analysis and quantitative skills.
  • Web content experience, preferably in gaming industry.
  • Passion for web/digital copywriting.
  • Adobe Analytics or other reporting tools
