Job Description:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all influenza shipments
  • Support the management of the vaccine direct distribution business in the U.S. to achieve operational excellence while supporting bottom line sales growth
  • Support the supply of vaccines from domestic and international sources to achieve on time delivery, in full and without exception (damage, temperature excursion, shortage, etc.) to customer delivery points, against agreed dates and sales targets
  • Observe and check onward distribution processes are performed to acceptable and agreed standards
  • Review distribution issues experienced during the season and help formulate a corrective action plan to improve processes for the following season
  • Reports timely feedback to regarding account distribution trends and anticipated impact on net revenue
  • Ensure compliance with import and export compliance policies and procedures
  • Ensure warehousing and distribution processes adhere to industry Quality Assurance standards
  • Process US Distribution management Inventory Investigations with 3PL to rectify transportation discrepancies
  • Organizes, develops, and executes structured quarterly and ad-hoc business reviews with key internal and external service providers
  • Raise the visibility of cold chain distribution requirements with all supply chain service providers and implement SLA's & KPI's with key stakeholder
  • Measure and report key performance indicators of suppliers against known standards for the services provided
  • Provides timely and accurate logistics cost forecast for each product segment
  • Process flu product receipts into SAP, by batch, product number, and quantities
  • Responsible for cultivating a close relationship and/or cross-functional relationships with team colleagues including but not limited to Sales, Marketing, Regulatory, IT, Quality, Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Allocation Management and 3PL providers to ensure alliance to strategies, objectives and goals
  • Excellent understanding of legal context and contract management
  • Ability to lead and be decisive
  • Strong customer facing communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in SAP sales order management processes
  • APICS or ISM certification a plus
  • Experience in Six Sigma or Lean quality management concepts and methodologies
