Scrum Master (50%) – Primary Role
  • As a Scrum Master within the BIS PMO, you will support the Media team, who are all based in California across San Mateo & San Diego, in their delivery of Network services which includes PS Video, PS Music, PS Vue, PS Now, PS Plus and also Product and Title Metadata, including Games and from 3rd parties.
  • You will perform a typical scrum master role including facilitation of ceremonies i.e. daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, retrospectives and sprint reviews, as well as participate in program planning, reviews and inspect & adapt sessions.
  • In carrying out your role, you will be a key influencer for the adoption of agile delivery within the team, working with other BIS Scrum Masters and members of the BIS PMO (all based in London), continually looking to improve ways of working. You will coach team members on existing, new or improved way of working and establish solid working relationships with other teams, inside and outside of BIS, to plan for and manage cross team/train dependencies and risks.
  • BIS is very transatlantic in its nature with our teams collaborating between London and the US on a daily basis. With the Media team geographic spread, collaboration between San Mateo & San Diego is also a feature of this team.

PMO Support (50%)
As PMO Support you will help the DSO Leadership Team define and co-ordinate key initiatives. This includes serving as a key member of the team that establishes the core mission and vision of the DSO organization and coordinates the efforts to achieve incremental progress against the vision. Tasks will include items such as: being the primary interface with outside industry experts; tracking & reporting project status to executives; risk mitigation / management; and coordination of stakeholder engagement.

Essential Skills:
  • Experience working as a scrum master with a proven track record of delivering high profile, business focused solutions in a fast paced environment.
  • Understanding and experience with different agile delivery styles & methodologies.
  • Ability to facilitate & coach cross-functional teams of up to 9 developers.
  • Ability to work effectively and professionally with cross-continent teams.
  • Without needing to be a technical expert, ability to work comfortably in a technology and data team.
  • Have an awareness and appreciation of business intelligence principles and its value within an organization.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and contribute to ongoing organizational improvements in addition to the 'day job'.
  • Ability to engage with senior stakeholders as well as developers.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, and have the ability to make good, timely decisions.

Desirable Skills:
  • Experience working with teams delivering business intelligence solutions.
  • Recognized Agile qualification.
  • Experience of using Jira & Confluence.
  • Familiarity with industry leading agile principles.
  • Knowledge of business intelligence and data technologies including Ab Initio, MicroStrategy, Adobe Analytics, etc.
  • Understanding of AWS fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of Snowflake Data Warehouse fundamentals.
